Eligible UK customers can now trade more than 50 cryptocurrencies inside Robinhood's main investing app, following a rollout that began the week of Aug. 10. The service runs through Bitstamp UK Ltd, the exchange Robinhood acquired for $200 million last year, which is registered with the UK Financial Conduct Authority as a crypto asset service provider.

The addition places crypto alongside stocks and shares ISAs, equities, options, and futures within a single application, according to a statement Robinhood shared with The Block.

Robinhood said the service carries no trading fees, no account maintenance fees, and no custody fees at launch. UK customers will pay a 0.1% foreign exchange fee on standard conversions, rising to 0.3% on certain weekend transactions. The company noted that crypto held through Bitstamp UK is not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme or the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Available assets include Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), XRP, and Hyperliquid (HYPE), among others. "A new wave of UK investors sees digital assets as an important part of a diversified portfolio," said Jordan Sinclair, President of Robinhood UK Ltd and General Manager of Bitstamp UK Ltd. "With today's launch, we're taking another major step toward becoming the all-in-one investment platform for the UK."

The launch also brings Robinhood Cortex Digests for Crypto to UK users. The generative AI-powered feature draws on breaking news, market data, technical indicators, and Robinhood's own research to explain what is driving price movements in individual crypto assets.

Robinhood Chain Posts $18B in DEX Volume Since July Launch

Alongside the UK rollout, Robinhood highlighted metrics from Robinhood Chain, its permissionless Arbitrum-based layer-2 blockchain, which went live on July 1, 2026. The network has recorded more than $18 billion in decentralized exchange (DEX) trading volume and surpassed $840 million in total value locked since launch. CEO Vlad Tenev said during the company's earnings period that Robinhood Chain had reached 100 million transactions faster than any other Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible chain.

Robinhood's Q2 2026 results showed crypto transaction revenue of $100 million, down 38% from a year earlier. Revenue from prediction markets reached $156 million in the same period, surpassing crypto for the first time. Total net revenue rose 32% year-over-year to $1.31 billion, while net income reached $573 million, up 48% from Q2 2025.

Chief Financial Officer Shiv Verma said the company "delivered record revenues and drove new highs across equity, option, and event contract volumes" during the quarter.
